Neglected kitties

I've been neglecting taking photos of the kitties lately. Mostly because I've been lazy and the cats have been sprawled in the coolest places they can find, usually not very photogenic places, at that! So yesterday evening as it started to cool off I went out on the back patio for some kitty cuddles.

Boof, being watchful

Over the shoulder

Kitty tastes Yumm!

Lobo was playing with ants

"You did not see me doing that. I am far too cool"

Boof laughing heartily at Lobo playing with ants

Inside, Dora and Tilly were playing again. Dora's so scary

Locked in mortal combat

Sister tastes Yumm!

Of course, Tilly can't stop at licking her sister. She thought my light stand, that Dave was playing with, looked mighty tasty, too...just a little lick

Light stand is Yumm!

The Girls were driving me crazy this morning so we decided to take a break and have a romp on the beach. It's hard to get them to sit still and be good dogs instead of having them burst through the door

But with a little perseverance, they will sit and stay. They started off even, but Tilly just shoved forward in her excitement...but she's still sitting and she's still behind the line LOL

She was so over-excited that she missed when jumping into the back of the car - it was too funny to watch. Instead of jumping down and trying again, she just scrabbled around trying to get her butt up...eventually I caved and lifted it in for her.

It was a beautiful, but stinking hot, day. The girls played and ran and did a little swimming

We tried to get some nice family portraits, but it didn't really come together LOL

And then there's Til's effort...

Pretty good Elvis impersonation, though!

It looks like we are going to get a bumper crop of new turtles this season. There are baby turtle tracks all over the beach.

Til did much better jumping back into the car - made it the first try!

Today has been a full on office day and I'm just not getting through things...there always seems to be one more detail that needs attention. So tomorrow I'll be in here again. I also have meetings with two couples tomorrow so cross your fingers for two new wedding bookings!

5 days left!

The countdown is feeling real now!  My new cold weather coat arrived the other day,

Amber says almost all of the bits & pieces she is bringing for me are ready for packing and I'm starting to feel that tingly feeling in my stomach that I am forgetting something important!  This is the first trip in a long time where I will not simply be able to pop to the mall to buy something if I've forgotten it.

I'm spending the last few days here trying to get our dive centre web sites updated and making sure that all of the crew have everything they need to continue making bookings for the upcoming whale shark season.  I will still be dealing with all of the emails while I'm away, but the more organized I can be, the better!

And of course there's all the fun stuff to do - like laundry

I'm also working on polishing the last bit of a new wedding album for my early December bride, Jade. Hopefully I will have that finished tomorrow or Thursday. Have some meetings with future and potential brides at the end of the week, too.

Busy busy! But excited!!

Something's fishy

I love scuba diving! There are always so many cool things to see, there's never enough time underwater. Here are some characters from my last two dives.

01 - another blue eyed crab hiding in the coral

02 - close up of a seastar body

03 - sparkly bubblecoral shrimp

04 - sweet sweetlips

Lots of cleaning action...who can resist?
05 - Squirrelfish preparing for a wash

06 - cleaner wrasse going to work

07 - the batfish were really getting spoiled

08 - and the other side

09 - the fusiliers had their followers, too

10 -

11 - It was actually pretty surgey but the upside is that it had folded up one of the magnificent anemones so you could see the excellent purple colour underneath. I love the orange of the Pink Anemonefish (I have no idea!) against the green of the top and purple of the bottom!

I don't know that I will be able to get any more dives in before I head off on Sunday, but if I have any free time between the dive shop and finishing up some Kristin Anderson Photography work I'm sure going to try!

Dora & MatildaLily get crazy

Last night they were rough-housing so much that I thought for sure we wouldn't have any furniture left!

Dora

MatildaLily, the goof, having a breather

waiting for her chance to pounce again

Dora preparing herself

Dora making sure I'm watching

Dora gets the advantage

and smacks Tilly down

Big teeth

Big cuddle?

MatildaLily going in for the kill

Dora hamming it up. I thought it was almost Oscar worthy!

Getting fierce

Letting MatildaLily get some fierce on

The fight scene

Dora gets back into the fray...getting vicious

...well, not so vicious...that tickles

...and's kinda relaxing, really

Dora patiently letting Til play some more

Nom nom nom...yummy ear! Big sisters are so gentle
